Red and white keffiyeh embroidered Bayt Yusuf

Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha

Eid outfit for men

On the morning of Eid, tradition is to wash, wear perfume and put on your finest clothes before the prayer. Here is how to choose your qamis, from the mosque to the family visits.

White Emirati qamis, side view

For the prayer: white

White remains the most worn outfit on the morning of Eid: understated and bright, it suits the prayer as well as the family photos. Our Emirati qamis comes in pure white and cream white, in an opaque fabric that stays modest even in white.

Purple Emirati qamis, worn, front view

For the visits: colour

The afternoon is spent visiting family and around the table. Midnight blue and purple add a festive touch without losing restraint; black, dressier, suits the evening meals.

Grey Mecca qamis worn in front of a carved wooden door

For the whole day: the loose cut

Between the prayer, the visits and the children, Eid is a long day. The Mecca qamis, in a loose cut and premium fabric, gives complete freedom of movement, in grey or blue.

Getting your outfit ready

  • Order early. Your order is prepared within 2 to 3 working days, then delivered in 5 to 10 working days depending on the destination: the product page shows the estimated delivery date for your country. The Ramadan and Eid dates help you plan ahead.

  • Choose the right length. A qamis falls just above the ankle: our size guide and the “Find my size” button give you the size and the length.

  • Iron it the night before. On a low setting, inside out, then leave it on a hanger until the morning.

  • Complete the outfit. A keffiyeh, a prayer cap, leather sandals and a perfume: tradition also recommends wearing perfume on the day of Eid.

And to go with it, create an Eid Mubarak card with his name.

Frequently asked questions

The Eid outfit: your questions

What should a man wear for Eid?

Tradition recommends wearing your finest clothes, clean and modest. The qamis remains the most common choice: it suits the prayer, can be worn all day and looks refined. White is the most traditional, but any understated colour works.

Which qamis colour should I choose for Eid?

No colour is required. White and cream white are the most worn for the prayer; midnight blue, purple or grey work very well for the visits; black, dressier, is best kept for the evening meals.

When should I order to receive it before Eid?

Allow 2 to 3 working days for preparation, then 5 to 10 working days for delivery depending on the destination. We advise ordering two to three weeks before the celebration; the expected Ramadan and Eid dates are on our dedicated page.

Is the qamis required for the Eid prayer?

No. Any clean and modest outfit is fine. The qamis is a choice of tradition and comfort: it covers the body well and allows the freedom of movement the prayer needs.
