Dubai and its surroundings were different from what I had seen before going there: a place of encounters, of modest, respectful and passionate people. Far from the luxury and wealth that many show off, I discovered a place where people live from their craft.

Sometimes far from the traditional way of life we know, I met people who are each unique in their field.

There, I met passionate artisans, expert hands that have worked fabric for generations. From that encounter a collection was born: carefully crafted qamis, made to be worn with pride.

The name Bayt Yusuf is no accident. “Bayt”, because we want you to feel at home. “Yusuf”, because we believe one does not go without the other.

My name is Bilal and I am the founder of Bayt Yusuf. Born and raised in the south of France in a modest Muslim family, I grew up between two cultures: my father is Turkish and my mother Algerian.

Although Turkish culture was not part of my daily life, it was the regular trips to Algeria, to my mother’s family, that shaped my childhood. With my brothers and sisters, we discovered a country rich in traditions, very different from our life in France. That is where my first precious memories come from, simple but full of meaning, and where I first understood that clothing can be a bridge between everyday life and the spiritual.

These experiences gave me a deep attachment to my faith, which I wanted to turn into action. Recently, I felt the need to bring my work, which takes most of my time, together with my Islamic values. Launching Bayt Yusuf was not just a business venture; it was a way of contributing to our community, in my own way.

Inspired by the timeless legacy of the Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), described in Islamic tradition as the embodiment of physical and spiritual beauty, the Bayt Yusuf brand was born from a deep wish to unite piety and elegance. Yusuf, a symbol of resilience in the face of trials, resisted temptation with unshakeable integrity, as told in the surah that bears his name.

It is this harmony between inner strength and outer grace that guided me in creating this brand, a living tribute to these eternal values.

“Bayt”, meaning “house” in Arabic, evokes a warm refuge where faith and appearance are both cared for. Together with “Yusuf”, the name invites you into a space dedicated to the Muslim community, where every garment becomes a way to express devotion with refinement. At Bayt Yusuf, we aspire to be a discreet but essential pillar for our ummah, offering qamis and, soon, accessories and clothing for women, all carefully made to combine comfort, modesty and sophistication.

Beyond clothing, my goal is to inspire positive change: to encourage those who have drifted from prayer to return to it, to pass on lasting values and to encourage good deeds.
