Frequently asked questions

The Eid Mubarak card: your questions

How do I create an Eid Mubarak card?

Choose the occasion (Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha), the greeting in Arabic, a ready-made message or your own, then add the names if you wish. The style and format change in one click, and the preview updates as you go.

Can I send the card on WhatsApp?

Yes. On a phone, the “Share” button opens WhatsApp, Messages or Instagram directly. On a computer, download the image and send it like a photo. The “Story” format is made for WhatsApp statuses and Instagram stories.

Are my names and message saved?

No. The card is drawn in your browser: the names and the message are never sent anywhere and are not saved.

Why is there no verse of the Qur’an on the cards?

Out of respect. A card gets deleted or thrown away, and many scholars advise against putting verses on one. Our cards carry the greetings and prayers people exchange in person, such as “Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum”.

What do you reply to “Eid Mubarak”?

The most common replies are “Eid Mubarak” in return, “Wa antum bi-khayr” (“and you too”) or “Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum”. Every greeting is explained in our article Eid Mubarak: how to wish Eid and what to reply.
